I love entertaining! One of the ways, I tend to dress up my table is to add pretty napkins and glassware. You can find a variety of both of these items at your local Target, TJ Maxx and Marshalls – three of my favorite stores for reasonable prices.
Your table can hold the most insignificant flatware and plain plates (a nice way to say boring) but those fancy napkins and pretty glassware can take your table from drap to fab!

I am a huge fan of adding details to make my guests feel special. In the past, I’ve added name plates at each setting and I have made mini to-go dessert boxes to place at each place setting.
However, you decide to add some fanciness to your table, just remember to make it memorable for your guests.

With social distancing, I think most of us have resorted to sitting on the porch. I probably can count on one hand how many times I’ve spent time on my porch since we moved to Nashville prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Whenever I take a walk through my neighborhood, I see so many neighbors having family time on their porches. It is unfortunate it took a virus to slow the world down and have us spend more quality time with family.
I am praying for those personally affected by this pandemic.

Stay Busy: Day 7
Spring usually brings about the normal “spring cleaning” fever. Now that some of you have cabin fever (I’m enjoying my downtime), it’s a great time to tackle those home projects you have put to the back burner. It’s a great time to organize your closet, garage or kitchen pantry?
You can still order and pick up certain items for delivery or curbside pickup for certain companies. Have fun planning your projects.

Stay Busy: Day 6
Missing your girlfriends? Why not schedule a video conference? You can have all kinds of video parties – giving yourself a manicure (since the nail salons are closed), cooking dinner or just a quick chit chat.

Stay Busy: Day 5
Exercise, exercise, exercise. If you don’t have equipment, pop in a video and get to sweating. As of now, some of us are still able to walk around our neighborhoods. If you can, get outside on the nice days and take a walk around the block.
Your summer body will thank you.

Stay Busy: Day 3
What’s for dinner? I think for alot of us, the norm is to eat out on a regular basis. If you cook dinner at home more than 4 times a week, I bow to you. I’m certainly trying to get better.
During this COVID-19 pandemic, another way to stay busy is to learn some new recipes. There are plenty of recipes that can be found online. And as always, don’t forget about the many YouTube videos that can give you cooking pointers.
