You are engaged which means you are in the midst of planning one of the most important days of your life. It’s no secret that planning a wedding is a fun process. However, planning can take many hours as well as be stressful. Sometimes, you just need to take a break so I’m going to give you three ways to relieve your wedding planning stress.
Schedule a Date
Schedule in your calendar a day or evening that the two of you can go out and enjoy yourself. Go to dinner, take in a movie or take a cooking class. Whatever you decide, do it alone and make the most of this moment. I would advice try to steer the conversation away from wedding planning but I also realize at some point it will creep in. Just don’t make planning your wedding the major topic of your conversation.

Exercise
As always exercise relieves stress but why not make it a part of your daily routine to exercise together? Take long walks outside or join a gym. Some gyms will give a special rate for families. Exercise will make you feel better and clear your mind for the wedding planning process ahead.
Hire A Wedding Planner
Yep, I said it! Hiring a wedding planner can remove many levels of stress from the wedding planning process. Your planner will serve as your liaison between you and your creative partners hired to produce your wedding. For my full wedding experience clients, amongst many other tasks, I handle calling potential creative partners to discuss availability, requirements and pricing. For my busy professional clients, this service is a huge time saver.
Self-care is emotionally rewarding as well as being physically healthy. Self-care comes in many forms such as the three points mentioned above. Taking some time for yourself will not hinder the wedding planning process. You will be surprised how refreshing you will feel after taking an occasional break. You will also be surprised at how much you will enjoy the planning process simply by hiring a wedding planner.
