Strawberry, lemon, red velvet, chocolate…..oh my! Today, our Sunday school lesson for engaged couples is all about one of my favorite parts of the reception – the wedding cake. When choosing your wedding cake, there are numerous questions to ask your cake designer.
Do you have a gluten allergy? If so, can they make a gluten free cake? Do they offer your favorite flavors? Will your desired design take extra time for set-up? Before your meeting with the cake designer, write down all of your questions beforehand so you won’t forget any important items.

Another important tip comes from Connie Jarrett of Connie Cakes.
Connie suggests choosing your cake designer six months in advance. Because the majority of your RVSP’s won’t be back at this time, Connie’s tip is to cut 20% off the guest count to determine your cake serving. For example, if you are inviting 150 guests, consider your cake serving to feed 120 guests. You can read more of Connie’s tips here.
Preparation is the key to a productive meeting with your cake designer.
Although next week is our last Sunday school lesson for engaged couples for this engagement season, we will be back on a regular basis sharing more goodness on weddings, celebrations, Team LeeHenry Events, lifestyle and giving back. Don’t forget to subscribe so you won’t miss any important, informative and fun updates.
