This is our second week of Sunday School. If you missed the core lessons, you can catch up here. Today, it’s all about your peeps and your paper. I’m thrilled to have the funny, talented and oh so sweet, Kim Washington from paperKuts Studio join us today. You will hear from my girl, Kim later but first we must talk about your peeps.
Your peeps aka your guest list. Oh…that ever so changing thing that everyone thinks they should be on even if you haven’t physically spoken to each other in five years. Remember my lesson about your base and how your guest count can drive your budget? If you are trying to keep to a budget whether it is $35,000 or $50,000, re-work that list. How do you choose your peeps? Start with close family first and then move on. Of course, your guest list will determine how many Save the Dates, invitations and thank you cards you will need to order. Choose wisely!
My girl, Kim! She is the “Olivia Pope” of paper! I asked Kim to give you three things to think about when you start to think about your paper.
- It is great when brides have a vision for the look of their invitations but be open to variations to that vision. The options are endless and most likely the stationer you choose will have great ideas to assist you in achieving the feeling you are seeking.
- Many planning sources say to allot 2-3% of your budget for stationery but realistically, you should budget 4-8% or more.
- Six months before your wedding date is a good time to send your save the dates. If you are having a destination wedding, you may want to send them out approximately nine months before.
Thank you Kim for your insight. If you are in need of stationery, contact Kim at 615-885-0231.
