Today, I was asked if I was in the military also. My answer…”No way, I’m just bossy and want my household goods well taken care of”.
I’m still confused on exactly what happened today. We went from a 3 day pack to a 2 day pack and then back to 3 days. They skipped Wednesday but will return on Thursday. I’ve never experienced a move where the packers are packing while they are placing my stuff on the truck at the same time.
My house is in disarray! For those who’ve had the pleasure of experiencing a military move, you know that’s a common occurrence. But, for this move, each room has little (and some big items) that are not packed. Boxes sitting around that’s not completely full or taped down. A mattress box that went on the truck with the top flapping completely open. My question..”You are going to tape that box down, aren’t you”. The answer..”Of course, Mrs. Cooper – we wouldn’t do you like that”
Where are the inspectors that usually show up unannounced to check on things? I used to think they were in the way…now I NEED them! Now, don’t get me wrong, we get daily telephone calls but I need to see a person’s face.
Whew! I pray our stuff arrives in South Carolina and in tact. For those who are currently moving or have experienced a past military move, have you had any of these experiences?
