Today is bittersweet! After living in Atlanta for 5 years, we are moving to our next duty station which is Ft. Jackson, SC. *sniff sniff* I’ll be back to visit and to service clients but reality has kicked in that I’ll actually be living in a different place.
Our household goods have been shipped, our bags are packed, dad, mom, son and dog are loaded in the car to travel the distance in search of our new home.
The plaque pictured above has hung on the outside of our front door for the last five years indicating the places we’ve made home. (We’ll be adding another link soon). It always fascinates me to watch people read this. And, there’s almost always questions about where we’ve lived, which is our favorite location, how was Hawaii and the two most common questions “Do you ever get tired of moving”? and “What about home”?
My answer: Moving doesn’t bother me (I’m used to it). And, since home is where the Army sends us, we try to bloom where we are planted.
Farewell, dear ole’ hot lanta. You will be missed!
