I had the pleasure of coordinating a celebrity appearance with Justin Bethel of the Arizona Cardinals and a local non-profit agency, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Columbia at Frankie’s Fun Park. On a rainy afternoon, kids enrolled in the agency program had the opportunity to be treated to a surprise fun evening with Justin. Since the evening consisted of a continuous down pour of rain, they were unable to enjoy the outside go cart track but they made up the fun by playing arcade games, bowling, indoor basketball and finishing the evening with Laser Tag.
Justin is from Columbia, SC graduating from Blythewood High School and continuing on to Presbyterian College before reaching the NFL. He is such a nice person and competitive as well. He wasn’t cutting the kids any slack and the kids loved it! It’s great to see a local giving back to his community. Thank you Justin!
The WLTX-TV story about this event and Justin can be read here and seen here.
