I am absolutely obsessed with tablescapes. I’m in love with the design aspect whether it’s shabby chic, simple & elegant, vintage or over-the-top. The details (since I’m a detailed person) always catches my eye.
An over-the-top tablescape can be quite costly per table for any celebration. A few alternate ideas to include in your unique table design are:
- Use the over-the-top design as your dessert/cake table.
- If it’s your wedding, the sweetheart table can be your “WOW” tablescape.
- Alternate designs on various tables. For example, use the taller vase with an overabundance of flowers on certain tables but go with a smaller (less expensive vase) on the other tables.
- Remember, details speak volumes. You may have less in the way of table decor but lots of detail on every table. A creative menu and placecard holder at each place setting would be a way to add detail.
I designed this tablescape for a church’s High Tea & Hat’s Luncheon. Notice the details: the individual gifts of a tea cup, biscotti and tea bag and a blinged out placecard frame at each place setting along with individual tea cups to use during the luncheon.
