Hey girl hey! So, you are sporting that rock of an engagement ring. Congratulations! Now that the official engagement announcement has been made, it’s time to start planning your big day. Last Sunday, I gave you ideas on becoming an organized bride. Today, let’s talk more about #3 on the list – hire a wedding planner. Venues offer a coordinator who will take care of the logistics and catering (if offered) needs of the venue but planning a wedding requires so many other tasks after (and before) selecting your venue.
If you are not 100% sure that you should hire an outside wedding planner, read on for some reasons.
- Do you have a plethora of bridal, fashion and interior design magazines, Pinterest boards and camera phone screenshots of your dream wedding? A planner can help bring all of these ideas together to make a cohesive plan.
- Perhaps you’ve not planned a wedding in the past and only have a handful of creative partner (vendor) referrals from friends. Your planner can recommend other creative partners based on your budget and your needs.
- Planning a wedding can take numerous hours – approximately 400 or so hours (maybe less…maybe more). Wouldn’t you rather spend that time hanging out with your friends, indulging in a spa day, creating a fun way to ask your girls to be bridesmaids (although we can help with that as well) or most importantly relaxing on the day of your wedding? More on that later. When hired for full planning, a wedding planner can make phones calls, handle research that comes with planning a wedding and gather important details. Although you will still need to make decisions, the bulk of your planning can be handled by your wedding planner.
- A wedding planner not only will help you throughout the planning process but he or she will be there on the day of the wedding so that you can Experience The Celebration®. What does this mean? Here at LeeHenry Events, we like to think of it as you being a guest at your own celebration. You don’t have to worry about creating a timeline, managing your creative partners, getting yourself and your bridal party down the aisle or remembering the exact time to cut your cake. We will be there to handle it all! Therefore, you can enjoy your day without the added stress.
I’ve given you four reasons to hire a wedding planner to ensure a smooth wedding day. Convinced yet? There are so many more reasons not listed here but most couples realize after their wedding, hiring a planner was the best decision EVER!
If you want to discuss more reasons, feel free to schedule a non obligatory complimentary consultation with me to discuss how I can help you.
MOB, strike, estate table, sweetheart table are industry words you will hear throughout your planning process. Are you already getting confused on what these words mean? Stay tuned for next week’s Sunday School lesson where I break it down for you.
